The café is located inside the “Hachi & Seizo Tajima Museum of Picture Books and Fruits,” an abandoned school building that has been transformed into a picture book space.
Visitors can enjoy ice cream made from pumpkins lovingly grown by the village mothers and original coffee blends while taking in the view of the mountains.
The “Yasai Dotsuri Curry,” a recreation of the curry flavor from the picture book “Gakko wa Karappo ni  Naranai” (The School Will Never Be Empty), is also an addictive dish.

Also serving original “Hachi” blend coffee, cold brew ice coffee, and cake sets

Hachi Cafe's special curry is back for a limited time!

For a limited time only, the museum will sell “Yasai Dosari Curry,” a curry that reproduces the taste of the curry that Kenta, Yuki, and Yuka enjoy so deliciously in the picture book “Gakko wa Karappo ni Nai” that is the museum’s subject matter. This curry is made by slowly frying onions until candy-colored, simmering them with spices, and topping them with uncooked vegetables.
