Kitagawa Fram School: A Cross-Disciplinary Approach to Art Festivals—The 58th Boso International Art Festival: Art × Mix 2027—Guest: Kan Miyake

For this session of the Kitagawa Fram Workshop, we are pleased to welcome Kan Miyake—an artist participating in the “Boso International Art Festival: Art × Mix 2027,” which will take place starting next March—as our guest speaker. In addition, Director Kitagawa will provide an overview of the art festival.

[NUNAGAWA Campus] Ayako Fudamoto Workshop: “Let’s Make Realistic Salmon Skin Out of Clay (with Takuan Pickles)!”

We’re hosting a workshop led by Ayako Fudamoto, the artist behind the Special Exhibition “Sponge to Salmon (Nunagawa)” currently on view at the NUNAGAWA Campus. Come experience the secrets behind creating the “salmon skin” featured in the exhibition, and use clay to make your own lifelike salmon skin!

[Akeya] Inoue Yui, “Yamanokuchi Club,” 2026

Inoue Yui’s “Mountains are where it all begins” project in Akayama gathers and utilizes natural materials from the mountains—which have long been cherished in the Akayama region—to carry out various activities aimed at the REBIRTH of local customs.

Join Sekiguchi Kotaro, who creates artworks using newspaper and cardboard, to build a large-scale sculpture of the “bear”—a symbol of the NUNAGAWA Campus.
