【E091】Makigami Koichi, "Continuation of Kabakovs Dreams - The Next Chapter"

Summary

Detailed explanation

[Performers]: Hikashu, Kouketsu Masayo, Ito Chieko

Let’s put on angel wings! From the iconic artwork “The Rice Fields” by Ilya and Emilia Kabakov, musician Makigami Koichi has created a collection of imaginary songs that he has transformed into a work of art. This album, titled “Controlling the Clouds,” is a musical adaptation of the stage performance “Sing a song of ‘Kabakovs’ Dreams,” which was originally presented at the 8th exhibition of Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2024. The performance features Hikashu, a form-transcending music group led by  Makigami Koichi, saxophonist Kouketsu Masayo, and dancer Ito Chieko, as they unfold a new “Kabakovs Dreams – The Next Chapter.”
