This is a highlights tour of the masterpieces of Echigo-Tsumari. Enjoy art alongside the snow and the budding of spring in the satoyama. For lunch, you will taste dishes made with seasonal ingredients at the Matsudai Satoyama Shokudo.
*The Kiyotsu Gorge Tunnel is currently closed due to heavy snowfall. If the tunnel is closed on the day of the tour, the route will be changed.

Lunch will be served at “Katakuri House,” a restaurant that uses local ingredients to warm your body and soul. How about visiting the harsh and beautiful world of Akiyamago, an unexplored region during the harsh winter season? The stopover will be changed to a different one (as of February 17).

In the past, Akiyamago was exempted from compulsory education by the national government, and in some years the snowfall can reach more than 4 meters. Enjoy a special experience of the unique lifestyle and culture nurtured by the harshness of winter at the Katakuri House. （There is a stopover at the Kiyotsu Gorge Tunnel.)
