This tour visits Kiyotsu Gorge Tunnel, House of Light, and other representative Echigo-Tsumari art sites. Enjoy lunch at an old thatched house, where you will be served handmade meals prepared by the village mothers using an abundance of wild vegetables and local produce. Refresh your body and mind in the satoyama with its fresh green leaves. It takes 1 hour from Tokyo to Echigo Yuzawa Station by Shinkansen.

Enjoy handmade lunch by mothers at Ubusuna House
The restaurant is a 100-year-old thatched-roof old house. Local mothers serve seasonal small bowls of vegetables they grow themselves and bring to the restaurant, as well as a main dish. It is also a wonderful time to interact with the local mothers.

The last stop of this tour is Kiyotsu Gorge Tunnel, which has been popular since its opening to the public.
Kiyotsu Gorge is one of the three most beautiful gorges in Japan, created by 16 million years of earth history. Visitors can view the fusion of the beauty of the gorge and art in the 750-meter-long tunnel. The spectacular natural scenery, which changes with the seasons, is also a must-see.
