Numerous artworks donated by Isobe Yukihisa himself are on display. The exhibition provides a deep insight into the geography and lifestyle of the region through art. There is also a special exhibition of paintings and dynamic and delicate works by leading Echigo-Tsumari artists.

The artist has been researching Akiyamago's folk customs, beliefs, history, and technology for a project to recreate the closed school in Akiyamago as a new type of museum starting in 2022. This exhibition shows a plan of the progress of the project.

Kiyotsu Gorge is one of the three most beautiful gorges in Japan, created by 16 million years of earth history. Visitors can view the fusion of the beauty of the gorge and art in the tunnel. The spectacular natural scenery, which changes with the seasons, is also a must-see.
