《MonET ARTIST Workshop Series》Vol. 1: Asai Yusuke Make Tape Sculptures!

Summary

A spring workshop series featuring artists whose artworks are on display at the Museum on Echigo-Tsumari, MonET, and Akashi no Yu. Through this four-part program, participants will explore the creative processes behind the artworks—including the artists’ unique Point of Views, ideas, and approaches to materials. By working alongside the artists, participants will experience new ways of engaging with the artworks and the surrounding space. This is a special creative experience this spring that can be enjoyed alongside the exhibitions at MonET.

Author Profile

Born in Tokyo in 1981. An artist who continues to create freely, unbound by location or materials, producing massive murals using local soil, as well as large-scale installations made from everyday items such as pedestrian crossing materials and masking tape. In recent years, he has also been creating ceramic artworks using soil collected from various locations.
