The Ishimatsu Laboratory is a research group dedicated to exploring design rooted in our immediate surroundings. We believe that design, acting as a bridge between people and the environment, can make daily life even richer and more appealing. In addition to design, we engage in activities such as community-based installations and art projects, as well as environmental-themed art workshops, examining the environment from the perspectives of design and the visual arts. This summer, we will be operating a café with the goal of serving as a bridge between the local community and visitors. (Artist’s Comment)
