The Ishimatsu Laboratory is a research group dedicated to exploring design rooted in our immediate surroundings. We believe that when design acts as a bridge between people and their environment, daily life becomes even richer and more appealing. In addition to design, we engage in activities such as community-based installations, art projects, and environmental-themed art workshops, examining the environment from the perspectives of design and the visual arts. This summer, we will be operating a café with the goal of serving as a bridge between the local community and visitors. (Artist’s Comment)

We’re selling the coasters we actually use when serving drinks at the café. They’re painted with the same color paint as the iju wall panels, so you can enjoy watching them age over time. This year, we’re holding a new stamp-making workshop where you can create your own original coaster featuring cute designs inspired by Tanokura.
[Price] 300 yen
