Keisuke Takahashi "The Time of Blue"

As part of the MonET Outside Special Exhibition “Hon’yara Dō – Snow Meeting,” a limited-time projection of video artist Keisuke Takahashi’s artwork will be displayed across the snowy expanse in the building’s central atrium space. During the exhibition period, the Museum on Echigo-Tsumari, MonET will open for a Night Museum event until 8:00 PM on Saturday, February 21 and Sunday, February 22.View the installation while looking down on the pond from inside the museum. *Last admission at 7:30 PM.

Museum on Echigo-Tsumari, MonET “Great Snowfield Voyage with Captain MonET”

The Museum on Echigo-Tsumari, MonET presents “Great Snowfield Voyage with Captain MonET,” the second installment of a special exhibition following the highly successful “87-Day Square Adventure with Captain MonET” at the “Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2024”. This is a site-specific special exhibition featuring nine artists from Japan and abroad, including existing artists.

Museum on Echigo-Tsumari, MonET

The base facility of the "Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale". The architecture was designed by Hara Hiroshi + ATLIERΦ, who also designed the Kyoto Station Building. Fifteen permanent works by artists from Japan and abroad are on display throughout the year, with special exhibitions held seasonally and a museum shop. In 2021, the museum reopened with a major relocation of the permanent collection.

Akashinoyu

This hot spring is located in the center of Tokamachi City. It is also convenient for those coming by train, about a 10-minute walk from Tokamachi Station. The Museum on Echigo-Tsumari, MonET of is located in the same building, and next to it is the roadside station Cross10 Tokamachi, where you can enjoy viewing art, eating, and buying souvenirs.

Keisuke Takahashi "The Time of Blue"

For a limited period, we will project an artwork by artist Keisuke Takahashi onto the snowy landscape spreading across the atrium space at the center of the building. During the period, the Night Museum will be open until 8:00 PM on Saturday, February 21 and Sunday, February 22. Visitors can view the artwork from above within the museum. (Last admission at 7:30 PM)

NUNAGAWA Cumpus

NUNAGAWA Campus: "：Fragmentary anecdotes" Ohmura Yukino

This exhibition features paintings depicting the nightscape of Echigo-Tsumari and urban night scenes, presented as an immersive installation by Ohmura Yukino. Through the accumulation of countless round stickers, Ohmura renders clusters of light that reveal the distinct atmospheres and memories of night across different places.
