About the artwork

Memory of people and places evoked by buildings
The artist reflects, ‘The world is fascinating as it is. The challenge lies in capturing and presenting these intriguing aspects.’ Having dedicated extensive research to observing the lives and activities of people worldwide, the artist collaborates with students from their research group. Together, they transform the Kanaboko-shaped shed, a distinctive feature of Tokamachi, into an artwork depicting everyday scenes of the locale.
