Born in 1960 in Hong Kong, lives and works in Hong Kong.
anothermountainman (Stanley Wong) is an artist, photographer, designer and has been a creative director actively involved in many international advertising companies. Apart from his award-winning career in advertising and graphic design, Wong is also passionate about photography and various creative mediums with a focus on social issues and philosophical aspects. His attachment to his native land is also reflected in his art. Wong came to international attention with his “red, white and blue” series depicting the positive spirit of Hong Kong, which was presented at the 51st Venice Biennale in 2005 representing Hong Kong. Wong has received numerous awards and recognitions for his works, including the Hong Kong Arts Development Awards 2011: Award for Best Artist (Visual Arts) and the Hong Kong Contemporary Art Awards 2012. In 2020, he was named DFA World’s Outstanding Chinese Designer.
