Matsudai Castle stands atop a 384-meter-high peak. Within the castle, which has long overlooked the town of Matsudai, a dazzling, otherworldly realm is created. An installation using gold and silver leaf is being created on the second floor of Matsudai Castle.“At the center of this taut space, adorned with silver leaf, stands a golden tea room finished with gold leaf: Laxudai. Inside this tea room, various paintings are depicted, and with its resplendent appearance, it quietly awaits its guests” (Artist’s comment).
