The Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale continues the "Matsudai Tanada Bank," a project to preserve terraced rice paddies on abandoned farmland. On the second day, we will tour the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale artworks on foot and by bus with a guide. Anyone who would like to try farming, and anyone who loves art and nature is welcome to join us. Let's enjoy Echigo-Tsumari while working up a sweat together.

After changing into your rice-planting boots, it's time to head to the terraced rice fields that dot the Matsudai-Shiroyama area. Join local farmers, farm staff, and FC Echigo-Tsumari members in the rice paddies.

After relaxing your tired body in the hot spring, all participants will get together for a get-together. Rice from the terraced rice paddies and local seasonal ingredients will be served. Adults and children alike will enjoy eating together.
*This year, the event will be held in the semi-outdoor Piloti of NOHBUTAI.

Sansho House is an abandoned school facility in Matsunoyama that became a guesthouse after the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial in 2006. Local mothers serve warm home-cooked meals.

The tower was created to symbolize connections beyond ethnicity, religion, and culture, peace, respect, dialogue, and coexistence. The monument on the tower will change color depending on whether there is a problem or good news.

Enjoy handmade lunch by mothers at Ubusuna House
The restaurant is a 100-year-old thatched-roof old house. Local mothers serve seasonal small bowls of vegetables they grow themselves and bring to the restaurant, as well as a main dish. It is also a wonderful time to interact with the local mothers.

*Please be prepared to wear work clothes that can get dirty, depending on the weather. (Boots are rental, so you do not need to bring your own.)

*Please be sure to bring a change of clothes as there is a high possibility of getting dirty in the rice paddies. (You can use the washer and dryer provided at Sansho House.)

*Please bring your own sleeping clothes and amenities for your stay at Sansho House.

*Itineraries are subject to change or cancellation due to natural disasters or road conditions.

*We will assign you a seat on the bus. If you have a companion for another application, please enter it in the remarks column.。

*Some works require a short walk after getting off the bus. Please bring shoes that are easy to walk in and take off, a hat and drink on hot days, and rain gear in case of rain.

*Tour sales and operation may be canceled due to the spread of the coronavirus. The decision to implement
