For those who do not have a car, here is a model course for 2 days and 1 night. Enjoy the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2024 to the fullest by riding on a wrapping bus designed by Tasima Seizo. After enjoying viewing the artworks in the Tokamachi and Matsudai areas, take a hot spring bath and enjoy the lighting artworks at night!

A story will be spun in the abandoned school, depicting the world of picture books and using many creatures and driftwood as the setting. The story will be developed as an interactive picture book museum with "the last three students," as the main characters.
[Lunch] Hachi Café
Curry with a lot of vegetables from the picture book, will be on sale for the limited time only during the event. Visitors can also enjoy ice cream made from pumpkins lovingly grown by the village mothers and original coffee blended by the farmers, while enjoying the view of the mountains.

[New] Museum on Echigo-Tsumari, MonET
This is the base facility for the "Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale" featuring artworks by prominent contemporary artists such as Nawa Kohei, Nakatani Michiko, and [mé]. The corridor and courtyard will be used as a front for special exhibitions and works by up-and-coming Ukrainian artists. At night, the works are illuminated, immersing visitors in a serene worldview that differs from that of the day.

Enjoy a meal in the shopping district near Tokamachi Station. The restaurant "Ikote" is a two-story wooden building designed by Tezuka Takaharu +Tezuka Yui, who also designed Echigo-Matsunoyama Museum of Natural Science “Kyororo".
[New] Akashinoyu
After soaking in the hot spring at "Akashinoyu," where artworks from the exhibition will also be on display, visitors will be able to relax and unwind from the day's work. After getting out of the Onsen, enjoy Tsumari beer and other beverages while viewing the nighttime illumination of the Museum on Echigo-Tsumari, MonET! There are no artworks inside the Onsen.

[New] Obana Kenichi "Matsudai History Museum - Shiryo-Kan"
This is an exhibition at a local museum by an artist who has been presenting works based on people's activities, folklore, local landscapes, and history. Through drawings and three-dimensional artworks exhibited in the museum, the meaning, role, and value of the word "material" itself will be discussed.

Matsudai Castle
Matsudai Castle is located 15 minutes up the hill from the shuttle bus stop. Three artists have developed their works inside the three-story castle. The 384-meter-high summit offers a panoramic view of the Matsudai area and is a good photo spot. Please wear comfortable clothes.
