performance and the artwork “Half-step House” by Lam Tung-pang expressed the
social distance between people during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the cookery demonstration, local ladies of Kamigo village made a Hong Kong pastry called “Wife Cake.” As candied white gourd for the filling was not available in Japan, they used sweetened kanpyo instead.
Will Leung, a chef in Hong Kong, cooked Japanese sushi called “Love of Flower”.
The artist, Lam Tung-pang and student interns from the Department of Art History of The University of Hong Kong who helped the creation gave a sharing session about the artwork.
