Fox road trip / terraced rice field evening 2024.

Summary

Ishimatsu Takeyoshi’s artwork “Tanada Steps” visualises the local wind and sky on the surface of the beautiful terraced rice paddies in Tanokura village, especially at the end of the year, when the rice paddies have finished their seedlings. “Tanokura D.I.Y. House iju”  is a facility that promotes the charms of Tanokura village to migrants and tourists through a variety of activities and events, such as meeting the villagers, enjoying food and experiencing the calendar (rice planting, Bon dance).

The events that have been popular every year will be held again this year! The “Fox Road Trip” will be a workshop, while the “terraced rice field evening 2024” will be an event to light up the terraced rice field staircase. Participants will make their own eco-friendly lanterns and walk to the illuminated “Tanada Steps” with lantern in hand. As a different way to enjoy this event than during the day, you can enjoy the scenery of Tanokura village and the “Tanada Steps” during the evening and evening hours, i.e. shortly after sunset, when it is usually difficult to enjoy the event.
