<Message from the artist>
In a small branch school (Minaraigoya) built in a glamping tent in a beech forest on a wind-swept mountain, you will feel like a woodworker for two hours. Various kinds of wood from Echigo-Tsumari, broken by snow, will be used. The spoon is a “sculpture you can feel with your mouth. First, the prototype of the spoon is made with a hatchet. Then, using a small knife, they carve the spoon into a shape that fits their mouth and hand. Everyone became more and more silent. The spoon is hung around the neck to complete the “good-luck charm spoon”.
