The amaranthus used for the thematic exhibition was carefully grown in a village field. The work, which was arranged in the spring water of the village, maintained its fresh appearance. The artist was surprised at how Koshirakura, though not so far from the city center, was deep in the mountains. The “giraluna”included in the title is an imaginary plant inhabiting the parallel world that appears in Parallel Botany by Leo Lionni. It is visible to those who see it, and invisible to those who can’t see it. Such a plant might exist in Koshirakura.
