About the artwork

This garden artwork was first presented in 2009 as “The Intersection of Nature and Daily Life.” The designer identified the essence of the relationship between the satoyama lifestyle—which draws sustenance from nature’s bounty—and the way the garden takes shape, and has continued to nurture it while visiting the site regularly ever since. He remains committed to shaping the garden’s future. He has also designed the gardens for “Australia House” and “Dream House.”
