About the artwork

Kamigo Junior High School, which closed in 2012, is being reborn as a hub for the performing arts. It serves as a residence for performers, a rehearsal space, and a theater for presenting their artwork. Artists will live in the rural Satoyama landscape—a setting distinct from the city—and create their artwork while learning from the local community through collaboration with residents. A theater-themed restaurant run by local women will also open.
[Renovation Designed by Toyoda Tsuneyuki]

*Please note that tours of the theater are not available during performances or while performers are rehearsing. We will provide guidance on-site regarding tour availability.
