Born in 1984 in Yamanashi, currently residing in Hokkaido. The artist implements a provisional concept for coexistence in various locations. As a key initiative, the artist, together with Ichirota Suzuki, planned the “Takeshi Cultural Center” under the Non-Profit Organization Creative Support Let’s in 2008. Since 2011, the artist has operated “Tokui Bank” in Toride, Yamaguchi, Sapporo, and other places, creating cultural activity spaces by utilising residents’ special skills. Established “Hitachi Satake City” (KENPOKU ART 2016), connecting the buried history of the region to the present, aiming for citizen sovereignty and proactive choices in historical and cultural activities. The opening of “Echigo-Tsumari Homestay Museum” (Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2015) involved conducting lifestyle research by staying in various private homes in Echigo-Tsumari and gathering the results for a museum. In addition, the artist launched “Kamimachi Harmony Land” (2018 TURNLAND), as an attraction experience facility based on the hypothesis that attitudes towards various realities (hallucinations, delusions) believed by mentally challenged individuals might be linked to the origins of human faith. The artist began investigation of Akiyamago began in 2022.
