【Museum of the one and only site-specific art, built by Hara Hiroshi】
The building was designed by Hara Hiroshi + Hara Hiroshi+ATLIERΦ, who also designed the Sapporo Dome and Kyoto Station Building. It features a centripetal space with a central pond and a corridor surrounding the atrium.
The works on display are deeply concerned with the characteristics of Echigo-Tsumari’s climate and culture, or allow the viewer to experience the transformation of space and time of the place where the work is exhibited.
