Facility Info and Map

The stage is the former Kamigo Junior High School in Tsunan Town, Niigata Prefecture, which closed in 2012. Renovated and reborn in the summer of 2015, the Echigo-Tsumari Kamigo Clove Theatre was conceived as a base for performing arts within the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale, held in the Echigo-Tsumari region. This facility allows performers to reside in this nature-rich area while creating and presenting their artwork. It aims to explore the potential for performing arts within the region and serve as a place for exchange between urban and rural areas. Outside the Echigo-Tsumari Art Filed period, the venue welcomes group users—professional or amateur—seeking to conduct residency-based creation, intensive rehearsals, or performances in music, dance, theater, and more.

Several artworks are permanently installed inside the building. During ETAT, additional artworks are installed, and large-scale pieces are also exhibited outside.
