Schedule for the Day

3:00 PM: Reception begins for the shuttle bus to the tripod/monopod area (only for buses departing from the Tokamachi city hall)
*There will be no shuttle buses departing at 3:00 PM from other reception locations.

3:30 PM: Shuttle bus reception begins
*Later buses are expected to be crowded. Please allow plenty of time for your arrival.

4:00 PM: Food Stall Area Opens

5:00 PM: “Field of Light” Opens / Reception for Outbound Shuttle Buses Closes
*The reception area will be crowded just before reception closes. We recommend arriving early.

Around 6:00 PM – 6:30 PM: Snow Fireworks Display Begins

Program Details

・Takahashi Kyota, *Gift for Frozen Village 2027*

This artwork brings an early taste of “spring” to Matsudai in winter, when the landscape is blanketed in snow and devoid of color. Inspired by the observation that “everyone in this region plants flowers in their gardens and eagerly awaits spring,” the artist conceived the theme “Gift for Frozen Village.” By transforming the pure white snowfield into a flower garden and causing colorful “seeds of light” to bloom, the artwork expresses the spring that people in this snowy region so eagerly await.

★Elementary and middle school students residing in or attending school in Tokamachi city or Tsunan town: Free
Please exchange the free Vouchers distributed by your school for a “Snow Fireworks Admission Ticket” in advance at the designated ticket window (*1).

Important Notes

・Each ticket is valid for one person only. It may not be used by anyone other than the ticket holder.
・Sales will end once capacity is reached.
・The “Echigo-Tsumari Snow Fireworks” may be canceled due to unavoidable circumstances, such as natural disasters. Please note that tickets are non-refundable in such cases.
・The display of Echigo-Tsumari Art Field artworks may be suspended due to natural disasters, maintenance, or other reasons.
・The opening days, closure days, and usage guidelines for each program are subject to change. Please check the official “Echigo-Tsumari Art Field” website for the latest information.

Directions

① On the day of the event, you will not be able to reach the Venue by private car, taxi, or on foot. Please use the shuttle bus or Official Tour to attend the event.
② We plan to operate free shuttle buses running to and from Tokamachi city, as well as paid shuttle buses running to and from Echigo-Yuzawa Station. Details regarding bus stops, operating hours, and other information will be announced on the official website in early November.

★Both parking spaces and public transportation capacity are limited. If you are coming by car, please help alleviate congestion by carpooling whenever possible.
★Each parking lot has a limited number of spaces, and if a lot is full, you may be directed to another available parking lot. Additionally, congestion is expected just before reception closes; depending on the situation, reception and travel may take longer than expected, and you may not be able to view the artworks. Please allow plenty of time and arrive early.
★Food stalls and other hospitality offerings will be available at the Venue, so please arrive early and enjoy a night in the snow country.
