About 200 ceramic objects were spread on a serene reservoir that has supplied water to the tanada (terraced paddy fields) and preserved life for more than a hundred years. People, pausing there in the summer heat, appreciated the white smooth-surfaced ceramics standing silently in the dark green water of the irrigation reservoir. The artist said, “I wanted to create a place to imagine the passage of time, land and people living there, by presenting work that seemed to float and nestle in nature.”
