Kuroda used his original potter’s wheel, which can be made to rotate very slowly. This slow rotation makes natural and subtle distortions possible, and therefore gives originality to his works. The works displayed in “Tea Room of Lights,” which was decorated with Japanese paper, looked like “white winds” blowing in the soft light through the shoji paper door.
