About the artwork

Colours and forms: Enlightening the traditional minka house
The artist intends for viewers to experience a sense of comfort and security as they engage with the artwork on both a minute and expansive scale, evoked by the ambient voices emanating from below, the warm glow of orange light permeating the space, and the cool breeze wafting in from outside. Situated within the Ubusuna House, this exhibition showcases two-dimensional artwork crafted from Japanese washi paper. Beginning with simple triangles and expanding into intricate polygons, it offers a visual journey through spatial expressions. Inspired by the interconnectedness of nature and human bonds, the artist’s vibrant compositions aim to resonate within the historical confines of this old minka house.
