Being selected as the youngest representing artist of Indonesia for the Venice Biennale in 2013, Yonathan Setyawan has been building profile internationally. The artist presented soil sculptures copying tools for farming and everyday life in the gymnasium space. As they were made of raw clay containing compost and seeds, plants started to grow and thus the sculptures changed their appearances as seasons moved on during the festival. The
artwork, which was a combination of man-made tool and little plants representing the nature, showed how the vitality of the nature would alter shapes and existences of tools.
