Order and DisorderIt is fun to make a secret place, a base camp that is a place of one’s own, using cardboards, wood, wire, and whatever. When we get tired of it, we can tear it down or just abandon it and make another. Why makinga personal base camp is fundamentally antisocial, isn’t it?I had planned to make a place where children could go in and out freely and make during the Triennial period. However, the work was a failure. It was not reasonable to expect people to keep up a daily stream of antisocial acts. My ideas about order and disorder could not fit in the framework of an art exhibition. However, my image of making a space, a bese camp might have been feasible. Construction, destruction, regeneration, and destruction . . . I have no doubt that order and disorder within myself were expressed in this work.
