Bamboo swings were placed in 10 villages across the Nakasato and Tsunan areas. Each swing became a landmark for measuring its spot, with its space standing against its scenery. The cut bamboos were dragged to the location for placement, and the artist, together with each local people, stood the pillars up, and purified and designated them as “the sacred pillar” of the community. Through the ride on a swing, we were given an opportunity to turn our eyes to the scenery of the place and to feel the wind blowing.
