The artists’ work incorporates traditional Eastern culture and classical spatial aesthetics, translated into the artist’s own language. The elements of Eastern culture, expanded within the artist’s language environment, reflect the local landscape and invite visitors to participate in a dialog. Designed to stimulate an exchange of experiences and feelings between local inhabitants and visitors, the work is installed in the corner of Ueno village’s gate ball facility which is frequented by local senior citizens. During the exhibition, India-ink painting and Chinese character writing workshops are also offered.
