Sand paintings on the floor of geometric patterns are made up of 12 circles. Underneath the blue and green circles, several lines of text drawn from Spinoza’s Ethics lay hidden. The unusual pattern creates an illusion which fools the viewer’s eyes. The sand that creates the circles can easily be stirred, so it cannot be touched at all. The mandala-like sand drawing is laced with the scent of eucalyptus, imparting Spinoza’s words to the viewer’s mind.
