About the artwork

Selected poems on the topic “memories of the river” are inscribed on 18 utility poles standing by the riverside. Poems were collected by an open competition from high school students who live in the Shinano River Basin in Niigata and Nagano Prefectures and were selected by a poet,Ooka Makoto.
