Photos of local landscapes and scenes from daily life of Kamiebiike village are juxtaposed with analogous paintings by famous artists including Van Gogh, Vermeer, and DaVinci. All 20 households of the village participated. Many ideas for subjects, locations, as well as appropriate costumes and props from everyday life arose as the artist and villagers viewed the famous paintings together during the production process. A museum shop selling local vegetables and goods was set up in the former communal farm workshop which was made up to look like a museum. The shop was run by local villagers and was a focal point for interaction with visitors.
