In 2003, the artist moved his residential registration and family registration to Tamugi, literally becoming a member of the community. He then started to create works there. This time, he held an art exhibition as a curator for the group KIHA, which he found with his feet. During the Triennial, the event, “Tomato Song in TAMUGI” and the symposium entitled “Appeal and Future of Mountain Villages” were held. Hikosaka said, “I realized that we are in an age when art movements are impossible, and tried to make an imitation of an art movement.”
