This work, “Tea Room in the Dark,” had just a small Musomado (a hit-and-miss window), with sooty ceilings and walls. The artist boldly put gold leaf over the sooty badly-scratched floor. Light coming in through the windows offered a paradoxical “Subtle Ambiguous World.” There the artist also placed paradoxical works of “Oribe of Los Angeles.” In spite of the criticism of some masters of the tea ceremony that “These cannot be tea cups,” the artist, with “The Green Sun” in his heart, put light into the darkness of contemporary ceramics.
