About the artwork

Ilya & Emilia Kabakov who created “The Rice Field” featuring farmers working on the terraced rice field will present a new artwork, “the Arch of Life” consisting of five statues. Each statue represents different stages of life, starting from human being with an egg-shaped head, “a boy” crawling on the ground, “a man carrying a box of light” emitting light, “a man trying to climb up wall or an eternal exile” and “the end – worn-out man”.
