Guardian Deity Enshrined in the Mountains
A sphinx statue, serving as both guardian of the dead and a mystical being overseeing the life and death of travellers. Positioned adjacent to statues of Enma and guardian dogs (komainu), the artist, known for her work on agricultural and idol themes, seeks to establish connections between these statues from both folkloric and sculptural perspectives.
