I began this work from the idea about the erosion of mutually linked domains, namely space and things. For example, altough landscapes were painted prior to the 16th century, they were not the main object but rather the background or fringe of pictures, and the focus was not on the scenery itself. At least, it was not captured as a scene, meaning that the pictured scenery was only a fragmented space. When we consider the phenomenon from the perspective of contemporary art, we might say that we have come to look at something that was not seen in the past. There is a danger that the way the landscape should be decided and evaluated. I thought of trying to establish a new scene or space, or neither scene nor background, through the interaction with the landscape of Tsunan. I am happy if the visitors can feel a fertile land of limitation, boundary and edges. How about it?
