About the artwork

Ceilings and walls painted black reflect oneself while one can overlook landscape in four different seasons through round windows that open to all directions. As like the Shedding House, you would feel the painstakingly chiseled floor on your sole which helps you reconfirm that you are in a room and you can reflect upon various things in a quiet time as you sit on the gold-leafed “raiban”.

Due to the snowfall, the artwork is now closed to the public. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to those who were looking forward to visiting the exhibition, and we appreciate your understanding.
