About the artwork

The artist attempted to create a work “that comes to life on its own while keeping its intervention in the great wilderness to a minimum.” A scroll 17 meters long was hung over a valley. The words written on the scroll were thought up and drawn by local people. The villagers worked for three entire days to create a brush 50 cm in diameter in order to write the words. The artist said, “Their inspiration and creativity brought this project to fruition.”
