“Revive Time” Kaki Tree Project is an art program series aiming to “revive time” for each person by letting children plant young kaki (persimmon) trees. This tree was atom-bombed in Nagasaki 55 years ago. In cooperation with the local committee, the Executive Committee (represented by the artist Tatsuo Miyajima) held workshops at four schools, in addition to an exhibition and a workshop in an old private house in Matsudai, which was named temporarily, “Kaki-an” (“persimmon hermitage”). The planting of young plants is scheduled for spring, 2001.
