Applying 3D scanning technology to make maps or reference images of buildings and places has become common in these days. While such technology had long been used only for geography and land planning, I sometimes find the technology as well as what it produces poetic. Although they are scanned and geometrically accurate reality, we are unable to touch them like we can’t touch ghost. I will create an artwork for ETAT2021 which enables viewers to enjoy the contrast between digitalised world and reality by showing the abstract world of satellite data from bird’s eye view while listening to site-specific and realistic sound at the same time.
