About the artwork

Through light, volume and space I have transformed materials from the Urada region to poetically reflect upon the landscape of the present and future. Drawing on environmental themes, I have created works at the Australia House over a three-week artist residency, utilising salvaged plastic food packaging, bottles and plants collected through collaboration with the Urada community. The resulting artworks suggest flowing water, food production and the agricultural cycle whilst resonating with the rhythm of the seasons. Similarly, I promote the concept of a circular economy, where everything is recycled, offering a model for a sustainable future.
