About the artwork

A house watches over the lives of its residents and quietly accumulates its age. . . . Through the act of cherishing and looking back each and every day of the years that the house and its residents have spent together, this work brings in a new life into the house and wishes for longevity. The age of the house is 88, the owner, Kino-san, is 80 years old. Influenced by the interview by the artist, Kino-san wrote her life story and exhibited her treasures in the storehouse together with the artwork.
