A World of ‘Forests’ Woven by Origami through Collaboration with Locals
A renowned origami artist residing in Niigata, internationally recognised as a pioneer of “unit folding,” presents an exhibition space adorned with “trees” crafted from origami in collaboration with students and residents of Tsunan Town. Visitors can immerse themselves in the fantastical “forest” formed by the gathering of abstract-shaped “trees.” “The locals take centre stage, and through collaborative work, the joy of creating, bonds, and smiles are born. I hope for the circulation of new vitality and wish to participate as a member myself,” remarks the artist.
