Exploring the present from Ukraine: works reflecting humanity, nature, war, and peace
This exhibition features an ongoing series of drawings such as “The Shadows On The Ground”, which the artist has been creating in war-torn Ukraine since 2022, as well as sculptures like “Tsumari and Hostomel Sculpture” made from metal from the roof of a residential building in Hostomel destroyed by artillery missiles and stones from Echigo-Tsumari. These works depict themes such as the connection between humans and the earth, and the relationship between societal circumstances and individuals. The exhibition showcases recent works by contemporary artists representing Ukraine.
