About the artwork

A tunnel-shaped work with colorful Japanese paper and a huge umbrella were set in a room of a closed school. The paper let light through like stained glass. The artist set up a notice board, asking visitors to feel free to get into the work and take a rest, and then, laid down straw mats. Those who experienced the work expressed their impression fully on the blackboard, for example, “I felt like a cocoon,” “I assimilated with insects,” “I felt like I was sleeping inside my mother,” “a ball-like insect,” “I became a cocoon.”
