Delighting the Space: Learning from Wood and Playing with Wood
The sculptor, who has been visiting the Matsudai area to create “The Shedding House” and deepen connections since 2004, has crafted a playground enveloped in the warmth of wood. Inside, there is a central feature called the “Wooden Hot Spring,” where visitors can immerse themselves in wooden balls, surrounded by arrangements reminiscent of different hot springs in Echigo-Tsumari. Visitors can experience wood through various senses such as touch and smell, and they can also play with many toys.
