Mysterious Tales Unfolding from ‘Shiryo’
An exhibition by the artist, who continues to explore themes of human activities, folklore, local landscapes, and history at a local museum. The central theme revolves around the word “shiryo” and the museum’s history. Through indoor exhibitions featuring drawings and sculptures, the artist delves into the meaning, role, and value of the word “”shiryo.”” Expanding to homophones such as “historical materials,” “feed,” “samples,” and “spirits,” the artist aims to generate diverse perspectives and insights into the exhibits and facilities within the museum, revealing the unique stories hidden in the place (artist’s comment).
